Insurance Professionals of the Wabash Valley - Meeting Minutes November 17, 2008

President Tina Dean called the meeting to order with the general membership in attendance.  The Collect was read by all.

1.  Minutes of previous meting was posted on web-site and accepted as posted

2.  Treasurers report was was given to membership and accepted.  Account balance $2236.96

3.  Committee reports

A.  Ways and Means - Made $620 from Antiquities pictures - possibly do again next year as family portraits - before school pictures.  Tina Dean gave awards to Amanda, Sarah, Gail, Connie, Linda B, and Amy for work on Antiquities.  Award to Marianne on the Bulb Project

5.  New Business

A. December meeting will be our Christmas program.  We will have a carry-in with IPWV providing the meat.  Or Tina said she may be able to donate a ham.  zit was decided we would have no gift or ornament exchange.  Instead members are asked to bring in can goods to donate to 14th and Chestnut.

B.  Regional conference was discussed and decided we would not need to have a separate account for our money for our portion of the conference.

C.  A motion was made by Sarah and seconded by Tish to donate $250 to Royal Oaks Nursing Home for necessities or gifts for the residents.  The motion passed.  Marianne will check into how the monies are to be dispersed to the Nursing Home.

D.  January's meeting will be a networking meeting at Logan's Rib-eye with NAIF.
